The control and management of the MGICCC Society and its various functions are looked after by its General Body, Governing Body and Academic Council as per its Memorandum and Rules and Regulations. (Click)
General Body:
The General Body of the institute comprising 22 members has Minister of State, Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources and Chief Minister, Govt. of NCT of Delhi as Chief Patrons. It is Presided over by Member, Planning Commission incharge of Rural Energy and inter alia includes representatives from Planning Commission viz. Adviser (State Plans for Delhi), AICTE, CSIR, Delhi University, IIT Delhi, Fiver members nominated by Department (Ministry) of Non-conventional Energy Sources, Department of Rural Development, REC, Department (Ministry) of Power and DESU in addition to 2 members to be nominated by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and members of the Governing Body of the Institute.
Governing Body:
Governing Body of the institute comprises 8 members. It is chaired by Chief Secretary, Govt. of NCT of Delhi and has Sr. Adviser (Rural Energy), Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources; Adviser (Energy), Planning Commission; Pr. Secretary (Finance), GNCTD; Pr. Secretary (Urban Development), GNCTD; Chairman, Delhi Energy Development Agency; Development Commissioner, GNCTD and Director of the Institute as members.
Academic Council:
Academic Council of the Institute is an advisory body. Chaired by Adviser (Rural Energy), Planning Commission, it’s members include 2 Professors nominated by IIT Delhi, 1 representative of Department of Non-conventional Energy Sources, 1 representative of TERI, 1 representative of one of the state implementing agencies, and 2 members co-opted on the recommendation of the Adviser (Rural Energy), Planning Commission from amongst Educationists, Scientists or those connected with rural energy training.
